In the Rockies today, the Obama administration weighs in on debate about the future of the Land and Water Conservation Fund;
At a hearing before the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday, an Interior Department official told members of the committee that the Obama administration does not support Utah Rep. Rob Bishop’s bill to revamp the Land and Water Conservation Fund, but instead supported a measure co-sponsored by 195 House members that would reinstate the fund as it was when funding was allowed to run out at the end of the fiscal year.
